After a ridiculously long hiatus b/log is back.
(Crowds cheering.)
Apologies to those who began subscribing before the break, and especially to those who did after it.
You must be wondering, “WTFWT thing Mandese was supposed to be publishing?”
Let’s pick up where we left off, with a newsletter granting you equity, simply by subscribing to it.
And a few dozen posts trying to explain what that means, as well as some random content somehow related to it.
Honestly, I’m as perplexed as you, and all I can say in my own defense is, “that’s my process.”
If I knew a better way of telling this story, believe me, that’s what I’d be publishing.
Thanks for sticking with it, because the idea is big.
The idea is to use a new form of storytelling — a decentralized autonomous narrative — to create value for the people who are part of it.
There are a number of ways you can do that, some of which will be explained as we continue to publish.
Ideally, some of them will come directly from you, because that’s kind of the point of being a decentralized autonomous narrative: we are all equitably part of it.
All you have to do is participate.
The minimum way is by doing what you’ve already done: subscribing.
Reading would be nice, too.
You can participate more directly by writing something, even if it’s just comments on posts.
Or send something to joe@mediapost.com and I’ll post it for you.
B/log is a hard concept to grasp, and frankly, the way I’ve been telling it so far might have made it even harder.
That’s the reason for the hiatus.
Future posts will try to explain more explicitly how and why participating in this form of storytelling will create value for you.
Tangibly and intangibly.
Stay tuned.
Keep subscribing.
Encourage others to.
